GUYANESE FUDGE

Rita’s Beautiful and Blessed Fudge was created to honor our beloved Mother and Grandmother. Rita Persaud was born in Berbice, Guyana on September 14th 1946. She was a mother of two children Maria and Mark. She has 4 grandchildren, Dana (The Founder of Rita's Beautiful and Blessed Fudge), Jess, John (Partner) LaSala and Max Persaud. Her two nieces, Michele Singh (CEO and Executive Baker) and Jo-Ann Dada. Tragically, we lost her on November 1st 2019 due to her battle against Ovarian Cancer. However, she will remain forever in our hearts. Fortunately, before she got sick she wrote down her fudge recipe for her best friend Elizabeth Richard. We created this company to spread the love as she did to everyone she crossed paths. With each purchase of our fudge, we will be donating a portion of the proceeds to the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition (New Jersey Chapter). Please join us in celebrating her life and spreading her legacy of strong women who love sweet treats!
